Happy Thursday Friends!
I had someone suggest I do a blog on photos before and after editing so welcome to a little peek into what happens after your session :)
Once I have downloaded all of your photos, I go through the files and keep only the best of the best. Then I use a combination of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to polish them. This was probably my most loved photo last month, which is no surprise because that little nugget is THE CUTEST. As you can tell, I adjusted the colors, warmed it up and added some contrast. The biggest change you likely notice is the clouds. I just loved the moodiness of this cloudy day so I used a color and contrast gradient to make them pop. Simple changes adding up to a more impactful photo.
For my second before and after, I chose one of my favorite photos from 2020. I just loved this portrait of such a radiant mama, but I wanted her to pop more in that stunning green dress. While I normally keep my edits fairly simple, I knew that "faking fall" on this late summer image was exactly what it needed. I wish I had save the original straight out of camera image, but alas, I can't keep everything, lol. The first photo is the original edit and as you can see, I turned those leaves golden for the final edit which brought your eye right to the subject. The final photo has half and half because I thought seeing the contrast was fun.
So Friends, was this fun or informative? Tell me what you think!
