This session brought me so much joy that it needed it's own blog! A few weeks ago, after sharing the Lloyd Family session, I received what will probably live in infamy as one of my favorite email inquiry's of all time. Erin basically told me to just take her money and I immediately wanted to book her family AND be her friend! I am so glad I was able to get them on the calendar fast - I think we landed the last weekend before the heat and humidity turned all of the DC area into a total swamp.
The family arrived ready for anything and their fantastic upbeat attitudes made my job easy. Lincoln and Mackie were expert smilers and I just knew that their affection for each other would shine on film. Seeing a photo of siblings arm-in-arm is lovely but watching them reach for one another is next level. Anyone who has a session with me knows how much I love getting photos of mom and dad together. When I get to see their affection in motion, I immediately imagine their children watching the film as young adults and think of how grateful I would be to have similar footage of my own parents (or even better, my grandparents!) When you choose to hire a professional photographer, you are truly giving your family a gift that will last generations. When you add a film to your session, I believe it enhances that gift immeasurably.
Erin knew right away that she wanted to include a film with her session. After hearing how much she enjoyed the final products, I asked her if she wouldn't mind writing something I could share. While her family film may have made her tear up, this made ME tear up!
